Brian Cox, who played the family’s patriarch Logan Roy in the hit HBO series Succession, hasn’t watched its highly anticipated final episode.

Cox character Roy died in the fourth episode of Succession season 4, while, the series ended with its final episode streaming on May 28, 2023.

The 77-year-old actor explained why he hasn’t watched the blockbuster hit finale, which garnered huge praises after breaking viewership records.

In an interview with BBC, the Troy actor revealed, “he wasn’t inclined to continue watching how the series unfolded” adding that he “knew how it was going to end” as “Logan had already set it up.”

“I’m dead. Dead people don’t watch things like that,” Cox said.

He further continued, “and somehow or other, because of what happened to Logan, I’ve been disinclined to watch the rest. … I gather that ultimately, in the end, Logan’s won through — even though he’s in the grave. But it’s a strange situation. … I don’t cling onto things. When I’m over, it’s over, and I go on.”

Although, Cox didn’t watch the episode he noted “the rich are becoming so out of it. So, separated.”

“That’s what our show is dealing with. And, rightly, they got their just desserts at the end. Apparently! I wasn’t in the finale,” he added.

Succession revolves around the business tycoon Logan Roy and his family, who owns world’s no.1 media enterprise, however, things take a dramatic twist when he steps down from the position of company’s CEO.
