Armie Hammer has expressed his feelings for the first time since sexual assault charges against him were dropped on Wednesday.

The Call Me By Your Name actor, 36, was a suspect in a assault case back in 2021. He was accused of raping a woman in Los Angeles in 2017.

Taking to his Instagram, Hammer penned that he is "very grateful" to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, following its decision not to charge him and “conducting a thorough investigation and coming to the conclusion that I have stood by this entire time, that no crime was committed.”

"I look forward to beginning what will be a long, difficult process of putting my life back together now that my name is cleared," he added.

The Los Angeles County district attorney announced that the office will not press charges against Hammer, who was accused of raping a woman and involved in aggressive sexual activities in 2021.
