Shahid Kapoor, who is currently busy promoting his upcoming film Bloody Daddy, has revealed that he chooses dark films to vent his frustrations.

At the trailer launch event, when the 42-year-old actor asked the reason of choosing gritty roles, he jokingly replied that he does them to take out his frustration on the set.

He said: ‘I have been married for eight years. I cannot take out frustration at home, so I go on the sets and take it out.”

“Farzi was a warm-up and now this (Bloody Daddy),” the Jab We Met actor added.

Recently, at the same event, Shahid Kapoor refuted claims of receiving INR 40 crore for Blood Daddy, saying: "Kya Dido Mere Yaar Hain".

The intense dark thriller film is slated to release on Jio Cinema on June 9, 2023.
