Shakira, who previously sparked romance rumors with  Tom Cruise after being spotted with him at Formula 1 Grand Prix in Miami, is reportedly “not interested” in dating the actor.

As reported by The Mirror, an insider has alleged that the Top Gun star was "giddy" after he spent time with the Columbian singer at the Formula 1 event.

The source has also revealed that the Waka Waka songstress has been “begging him to stop flirting with her.”

Reflecting on the details of Cruise’s interaction with Shakira the source explained, "he came away convinced they had a real connection they needed to build on,” adding that it was similar to "how he acted" when he met his now ex-wife Katie Holmes.

However, it has been cleared by the source that Shakira was simply being “friendly” with The Firm actor, who later started describing her as his “dream woman”

The insider further noted that the situation was "too much" for Shakira, adding that "she doesn't want to embarrass or upset him, but there's no attraction or romance on her part - she was just being friendly. She's flattered but not interested".

According to the reports, Shakira’s "message" has been "politely" conveyed to Cruise.

This latest update comes after it was reported that the 60-year-old actor was extremely interested in pursuing" Shakira, and "desperate" to date the 42-year-old singer, who recently parted ways with Gerard Pique.
