Sunny Leone has opened up about her journey from the adult industry to Bollywood and also talked about the hurdles she faced during this transition.

In her interview with Deadline, the Oh My Ghost actress spoke about the time when the makers of Bigg Boss approached her.

She said: “Big Brother India, which is called Bigg Boss, called and said ‘We want you to be on the show’. And I said to my then-boyfriend and now my husband, Daniel Weber, ‘You're out of your mind. I am not going to India. They will hate me.”

She further said: “Because I have already gone through so much hate within that community. At that moment I said ‘No way, you're out of your mind. I’m not doing it.”

“And I went on the show and as each week passed, I figured something good must be happening,” the Jism 2 actress continued.

While talking about the hurdles she faced right before getting on the show, Sunny Leone revealed that she received ‘death threats and bomb threats’.

She asserted that she participated in Bigg Boss for about seven weeks and got an offer for the first film on the show.

She added that after she participated in the TV reality show, people related to her as a person and lost interest in "the Sunny Leone from the adult entertainment industry."
