Pakistani film titled Kukri: The Untold Story of Serial Killer Javed Iqbal finally  got a release date and fans are excited.

Director Abu Aleeha had made massive alterations to the film including the name change with the aim  to spread awareness about child abusers and how to protect one’s kids.

Aleeha exclusively informed the Express Tribune about   the main reason behind producing the film that promotes heinous crimes.

"We’ve been saying this in all interviews, our goal was never to glorify Iqbal or his crimes. Our goal is just for people to see this, recognize the character and see how this man was living like a normal man. Once you see the film, if there is any child abuser, rapist, or molester around you, please identify him for the sake of your children. This was our message."

The edits made to the crime thriller were mainly additions rather than cuts.

After a slew of hurdles in marking the release, the makers partnered with Eveready Pictures which is considered as the renowned distributor in Pakistan which would ensure it's safe launch.

Yasir Hussain and Ayesh Omar will essay the lead characters in  Abu Aleeha's crime  filled movie.
