During an Instagram live session, the Tere Bin actress Hira Soomro, who essays Maryam's role, discussed the shocking plot twist that has left viewers in utter disbelief.

She addressed the sensitive issue of marital rape portrayed in the show, expressing her concern over the insensitivity of such a narrative.

The actress emphasized the importance of continuing to watch the series to see how the story unfolds. She made it clear that the portrayal of domestic abuse, especially the subject of marital rape, should be strongly condemned. 

She urged viewers to remember that any form of domestic violence should never be tolerated or glorified.

Recently in an interview the Tere Bin writer Nooran Makhdoom also emphasized watching the drama. She said,"audience should wait for the entire story to unfold instead of taking issue with every episode.”
