Drishyam, originally starring Mohanlal, will be getting a Korean remake soon.

The exciting news was confirmed at the 76th Cannes Film Festival. Kumar Mangat Pathak’s Panorama Studios has joined hands with South Korea’s Anthology Studios to pull out a Korean remake.

Drishyam is a Malayalam film that was released in 2013. Later, it got its Hindi remake with Ajay Devgn playing the lead role. 

After, the Hindi remake now the film is routing towards getting a Korean remake with Kim Jee-woon working on it as director while the Parasite actor Song Kang-ho will be playing the lead character.

The thriller film, with this development, will become India’s first ever film to be remade in Korean. Also, this is going to be the first time an Indian and Korean studio will work together to make a film, reports India Today.

As per Deadline reports, the shoot on Drishyam’s Korean remake will commence from next year.
