Vivek Agnihotri questions 'stupid' dependency on 'costume slaves' for Aishwarya Rai
Vivek Agnihotri slammed the use of 'costume slaves' assisting Aishwarya Rai Bachchan at 2023 Cannes

Vivek Agnihotri, The Kashmir Files famed director, took to Twitter and slammed the use of assistants to help with the dresses of celebrities at major events.
Agnihotri seemingly shaded Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's picture from her 2023 Cannes Film Festival red carpet appearance.
In the photo, the Ponniyin Selvan: II actress can be seen accompanied by a member of her team, settling her dress on the red carpet.
This sparked Agnihotri's concerns about the increasing dependency on such assistants whom he called “costume slaves” and wrote, “have you guys heard of a term called ‘costume Slaves’.
"They are mostly girls (a suited man in this case). You can see them now in India too with almost every female celeb. Why are we becoming so stupid and oppressive just for such uncomfortable fashion?”
The Delhi Files director's comment did not go down well with the online community.
Following the criticism from the actress' fans, Agnihotri posted a clarification stating that his remarks were not aimed at the actress.
He wrote "My comment has nothing to do with ARB. It's only about the weird concept of 'costume slavery'. ARB is not responsible for it. she is just a model/ Fashion Ambassador"

On the work front, Aishwarya will be seen in an upcoming movie Jailer released on 10th August 2023.
Vivek Agnihotri has also announced his new film The Vaccine War to be released on 15th August 2023.
