Tere Bin has set new popularity records in Pakistan and across the border as well. However, the GEO Entertainment’s blockbuster hit drama serial’s latest episode has sparked massive outrage on the internet.

The Wahaj Ali and Yumna Zaidi starring Tere Bin’s episode 46 aired on Thursday night and it has been trending on Twitter for all the wrong reasons.

Fans of the record-breaking drama serial have been left in utter shock after the promo of upcoming 47 episode aired last night and promoted toxic marital relationships and showcasing domestic abuse.

Tere Bin fans have been calling out show creators and writers for even insinuating marital rape if it has not happened between the lead characters Murtasim (played by Wahaj Ali) and Meerub (played by Yumna Zaidi).

Fans have taken the internet by storm with the hashtags #Meerasim (Meerab and Mustasim) to express their anger and disappointment with the twist the show has taken.

The 46 episode featured an intense moment where Meerab slapped Murtasim. The scene followed with Murtasim locking the doors in a fit of rage.

The teaser promo for the upcoming episode, however, showed Meerab sitting on the floor next to her bed, leaving audiences to imagine the worst.

Tere Bin have not commented on the controversy yet.
