‘Fast X’: Jason Momoa details why there’s no big fight between Dante and Dominic
‘Fast X’ actor Jason Momoa has explained the reason of no major showdown between his character and Dominic
Jason Momoa, who is starring in Fast X as a villain Dante Reyes, explained why any major showdown between his character and Domini Toretto was not included, even after initially planning it.
During an exclusive interview with Screen Rant, Momoa revealed why they decided to showcase his evil character enjoying pain to make it look even more terrifying.
"We had a big fight scene planned for me and [Dom], and we've seen that we've done that. They don't need to get into the showdown of fighting each other. I think it's way more interesting; he gets the kicked out of him, and he loves it," he said.
Momoa further continued, "to get off on being beat up and just how he can get close to him because he's got the upper hand."
"He constantly has the upper hand on Dom. And it's not that we don't want to see them fight because that showdown's going to come and that'll be violent, especially with someone who just adores pain and is probably already dead inside," he noted.
"It's scary when someone's getting off on that pain. I wanted that to be there and, through that, his humor."
Fast X will be releasing in theatres today on May 19, 2023. It is the tenth action-thriller of Fast and Furious franchise, starring Jason Momoa, Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and more.
