David Beckham took a trip down the memory lane as he reflected on the last days of his professional soccer career.

The British football legend, who made his professional debut for Manchester United in 1994 at the age of 19, turned to his Instagram handle on Thursday and reminisced the fondest memories of his stunning career.

David played his last professional soccer match on May 18, 2013 and to mark the day, he shared a video montage of himself standing in the middle of the venue.

The former Manchester United star player penned down a heartfelt message, that read, “I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since I played my last game. I still get emotional thinking back to that special night in Paris…”

David continued writing, “I’ll never stop loving the game, I’ll always be a fan…and I’m so proud of my @InterMiamiCF family.”

The post garnered thousands of likes and comments in no time. David’s fans and fellow football stars also wished the legendary player.

Neymar Jr. commented, “legend.” Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds also dropped heart-emoticons. David’s wife and famous posh designer Victoria Beckham also lauded him, writing, “We are so so proud and love you so much.”

David and Victoria’s son Romeo Beckham was also proud of his father as he commented, “legend.”

Following David Beckham’s retirement, his son Romeo has taken his legacy.

David Beckham’s latest Instagram post came after he was snubbed from King Charles III’s Coronation ceremony, held on May 6.
