Anushka Sharma’s bodyguard Sonu Shaikh has been reportedly charged with INR 10, 500 as penalty amid the ongoing controversy revolving around the actress and Amitabh Bachchan for riding a bike without a helmet.

Both, Bachchan and Sharma were spotted separately riding a bike without helmet that raised many eyebrows. Netizens complained the Mumbai police and asked them  to take action.

Therefore, the reports suggested today that bodyguard Sonu has been charged with a fine. Not just that, a challan has also been issued to him.

Mumbai Traffic police has imposed a challan on Sharma’s bodyguard under section 129/194, section 5/180 and section 3 (1) 18.

On the other hand, Big B also clarified through his blog page about not wearing a helmet. He also apologized for spreading a wrong message, reports India Today.

He wrote: “The fact of the matter is that this is on location shoot on the street of Mumbai .. It is Sunday .. formal permission taken for shoot at a lane in Ballard Estate .. permission sought for Sunday because all offices are shut and there is no public or traffic..”

“One lane in the region BLOCKED off by Police permission for shoot .. the lane barely 30-40 meters .. The dress I wear is my costume for the film."
