Simon Pegg, who has been working with Tom Cruise on and off since Mission Impossible III in 2006, revealed that he never talked to the actor about his religious belief.

In a recent interview with BBC Radio's Desert Island Discs Pegg revealed, “I don't ask him about stuff like that because I feel that would be me abusing my privileged access that I get to him, you know what I mean?”

He further continued, "My relationship with him is very, very simple and amiable."

"We're friends,” Pegg added.

The Spaced actor went on to discuss how Cruise embraces and reacts to his fame and success.

"I mean, he loves the fame and he really relishes it, it's all he knows," Pegg told. "It energizes him and spurs him on."

"We joke about it," he further noted. "I mean, I always make fun of him for it, you know, about the things that he can access."

For the unversed, Cruise  has been an adovocate of the Church of Scientology, which is a controversial religion, accused of abuse and forced labor of its followers.
