Priyanka Chopra paid homage to her mother Madhu Chopra as she wrote a heartfelt post for the "strongest woman" in her life celebrating Mother's Day.

The Citadel star, who is in New Delhi, India to attend sister Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha’s engagement, turned to her Instagram on Sunday and shared an adorable tribute to mothers all over the globe.

Priyanka posted two snaps with one featuring her mum Madhu and little daughter Malti Marie, cuddling in bed.

The second click featured a candid snap of the White Tiger actress with her mother-in-law Denise Jonas.

Priyanka penned a lengthy note, writing, "Im so lucky to have always known the love of a mother. My mother is the strongest woman I know. And her mother was too.”

“I come from a lineage of women who are warriors and I was blessed to be raised by many of them. My Mum, my aunts, my grand mothers. Thank you Ma, you're the greatest gift in my life. I could not be more grateful you're mine!” the Quantico actress said.

Priyanka went on to say, “to all the moms out there.. the ones I have the privilege of knowing and working with and the ones you are superheroes. As a new mum, I have so much respect for all the nurturers who devote themselves to the next generation. My gratitude.”

“Also thank you Denise for raising an exceptional son and for all the love you bestow upon our family. I’m so blessed,” she added.

“And I love you Malti Marie. Thank you for making me a mama. It's the greatest honour of my life that you chose me,” the Love Again actress said.

Priyanka welcomed her daughter Malti Marie via surrogacy in January last year.
