Johnny Depp dons the director's hat for 'Modi'
Johnny Depp makes a comeback to direction
Hollywood actor Johnny Depp has marked his return to direction after 25 years!
Depp will helm Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani's biopic titled Modi after his last directorial debut The Brave in 1997.
The Pirates of The Caribbean star also unveiled the cast of his upcoming movie which would feature the actor Al Pacino in the prominent role while the Italian actor Riccardo Scamarcio in the lead.
The directorial is therefore slated to hit floors in what we call Budapest, this fall.
Barry Navidi, co-producer of the movie informed Deadline of the plot, "This is a snapshot of Modigliani’s life that gives us insight into his struggle as an artist suffering from lack of recognition, and a project Al (Pachino) and I have pursued for many years. Our incredible cast, coupled with the vision, wit, and sensitivity I know Johnny will bring behind the camera, will make this a dream come true."
At the same time Depp also made it back to acting with Jeanne du Barry.
