The historical coronation of King Charles III is set to begin at 3:00 pm today on May 6, 2023.
The Britain’s new monarch, Charles and Camilla, the queen consort, will be crowned at Westminster Abbey, in a religious ceremony led by the Archbishop of Canterbury.
Ahead of the historical occasion, people from all over the world have shared their support for the new king. However, a Welsh artist has grabbed attention for his ‘unique’ tribute to the new monarch.
Nathan Wyburn from Cardiff wowed the internet as he created a portrait of King Charles on bread slices using Marmite, a British savory spread that has a salty and strong taste.
The artist, who a former Britain's Got Talent contestant, shared the work on Twitter and wrote, "To celebrate the King’s Coronation, I am working with @Marmite to raise a ‘TOAST’ to the King! Why not purchase your own Marmite jar and raise a ‘toast’ too?"
Nathan’s unique way of paying a homage to the new king received praise on the internet. He also shared video and pictures of the artwork in the making.
