Nawazuddin Siddiqui is in hot water after a case was filed against him for allegedly hurting the sentiments of the Bengali community with an advertisement. The ad in question was for a popular online marketplace, in which Nawazuddin played a Bengali businessman who was portrayed in a negative light.

The case was filed by the West Bengal Pradesh Youth Congress, which accused Nawazuddin of "insulting the culture, tradition and sentiments of the Bengali community" with his portrayal in the ad. The group also demanded an apology from the actor and the removal of the ad from all platforms.

Nawazuddin has not yet responded to the allegations, but sources close to the actor have stated that he had no intention of hurting anyone's sentiments with the ad. They also added that he had only played a character in the ad and that it was not intended to be taken seriously.
