Halle Berry has paid a heartbreaking tribute to her late co-star Lance Reddick after he suddenly died at the age of 60 on Friday.

Taking to her Instagram handle, the actress shared a black and white photo of the late actor.

In the caption, she wrote: "I send my heartfelt condolences to the family and all those who knew and loved Lance."

She further wrote:  "l’ll never forget the huge smile and heartfelt hug Lance gave me as I walked on the set of John Wick for the first time."

"His kind, sweet energy lit up every room he was in and his heart was larger than anything in it! Heaven has another angel. You will be missed sweet friend! [heart emoji]," the Moonfall star continued.

Berry also sent the grieving family her sympathies when  Reddick's wife Stephanie shared the news on Instagram.

"At this very sad moment, my love and prayers are with the family. One of the most genuine individuals I've ever met was Lance. Definitely one of a kind! "RIP sweet king," she wrote as a remark.

The actor was found dead in his Los Angeles residence on Friday, according to TMZ, from "natural causes."
