AR Rahman slams Bollywood industry for selecting 'wrong films' for 95th Academy Awards

AR Rahman in his latest interview claimed that India has been sending ‘wrong films’ for the Academy Awards.
In his conversation with veteran singer L Subramaniam, Rahman talked about the Indian film being nominated for an Oscar in the category of 'Best Foreign Film'.
While sharing his views, the Enna Sona hitmaker said: "Sometimes, I see that our movies go till the Oscar (but) they don’t get it. Wrong movies are being sent for the Oscars. And I am like, DON’T. "
He further said: "We have to be in another person’s shoes. I have to be in Westerner’s shoes to see what’s happening here. I have to be in my shoes to see what they are doing."
For those unversed, India won two big at the 95th Academy Awards including, RRR song Natu Natu in the category of 'Best Original Song' and The Elephant Whisperer bags an award for 'Best Documentary Short Film'.
