Oscars 2023: Host Jimmy Kimmel shares his plans to address the infamous slap this year
Jimmy Kimmel first hosted the Oscars awards in 2017

Jimmy Kimmel, who is all set to host the Academy Awards for the third time on Sunday, has opened up about how he will address the infamous slap of Will Smith's from last year's Oscar.
The TV host told to GMA co-anchor Lara Spencer, "I have given it much thought. I know that a million jokes have been made about it, a million think pieces have been written on it… There has been a lot said about it, so whatever I say has to be I think -- you know, it has to be good."
He further said: "And I do have some good things to say about it. I think that it's gonna be on everybody's mind."
"Everybody's gonna be waiting for that moment. And that will be part of the show, but certainly not the focus of the show, "he added.
