Javed Akhtar shares his thoughts on poverty in Pakistan after his recent visit
Javed Akhtar talks about his time when he was in Lahore, Pakistan

Javed Akhtar who has been in the headline after his controversial statement of accusing Pakistan, now compared poverty in Pakistan and India.
When Akhtar was asked by the author Chetan Bhagat at an event, "what he felt during his visit to Pakistan as the country is currently suffering from economic crises."
The poet replied: "No, not at all. We see poverty on the Indian streets but there is nothing like that in Lahore. It seems like they hide the poverty."
“I have been to Lahore three times but I never saw houses belonging to poor people or any poor man roaming on the streets. It's surprising how they have managed all of this," he claimed.
He further said: "You will see poverty in Mumbai no matter whichever road you take but this is not the same in Pakistan."
Javed recently visited Pakistan to attend the Faiz Festival which held in Lahore.
