Winter Wonderland

During the Christmas season, Hyde Park is where many visitors have fun. In particular, Winter Wonderland caught their attention to celebrate one of the world's biggest festivals.

Earlier year, over two million visitors attended. Winter Wonderland boasted all the traditional festival elements of the Christmas festival: an ice rink and visits with Santa Claus. Not to mention two massive roller coasters, a 200-foot high enclosed-pod observation wheel, kids' rides, and Santa Land.

Christmas Festival of Lights

Portland, Oregon, gives hints of places you will not go for any s hows events and festivals on Christmas. However, many people who attend the annual Christmas Festival of Lights at The Grotto would say otherwise. "We've been unable to find anything like it in the world, so we call it the world's largest choral festival," says Jane Tokito, development director for The Grotto. The Christmas festival showcases a spectacular lighting display with more than one million lights (which take seven weeks to hang).

Budapest Christmas Fair

Budapest has been known for its unique shows, events, and festivals during the Christmas holidays. From November to December, Vorosmarty Square became a source of the festive celebration of traditional Hungarian Christmas practices. A massive bunch of little wooden cottage stalls highlights unique holiday gifts, as the air was filled with the scent of honey cookies, mulled wine, and cinnamon.
